Smart card Transit Fare Collection System Coming to B.C.
Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009The transit system of British Columbia’s Lower Mainland area is getting a contactless technology boost. Current forms of tickets and passes will be replaced with smart cards by the year 2013. The smart cards will be pre-loaded and scanned in front of an electronic card reader for payment.
